Worship Services at Messiah

Worship at Messiah Lutheran

Here at Messiah, we aim to proclaim the Good News of forgiveness in Christ to all who will listen. Each worship time balances Scripture, songs, prayers, confession of sins, profession of faith, and a message sharing God’s word. We encourage everyone to participate by singing and reading along throughout the worship service, guided by easy to follow handouts.
To feed you spiritually throughout the week, Messiah offers multiple worship services:

    1. Sunday morning, 10:30 a.m. Our Sunday service is more traditional in nature, using liturgies that evoke worship themes of yesterday as well as fresh settings by modern composers, praising God through song. Piano, organ and various instrumentals lead music ranging from standard hymns to today’s worship anthems.
    2. Saturday evening, 5:30 p.m.  Relaxed and casual best describes our worship on Saturdays, filled with contemporary music and modern responses. The atmosphere is lively, praise-full and uplifting; our music is guided by multimedia presentations and keyboard accompaniment.  We also offer Children’s Church during this service for pre-school - 3rd grade children.
    3. Wednesday evening. During Advent, 7:30 p.m (4 wks. before Christmas) and Lent, 7:30 p.m(6 wks. before Easter), we prepare for these special celebrations by meeting on Wednesday evenings.

Communion is celebrated on the 1st Saturday and Sunday and 3rd Sunday of each month.

Our choral group often adds their special touch to both worship services, if interested in participating.

For the convenience of parents, free child care is provided during both worship services.
